What this extension does
Auto-Login for EduLink One saves login details that you enter and uses them to fill in and submit the sign-in form on EduLink One.
Information handled
When you choose to save your details, the extension stores your School ID, username, and password in the browser profile for this extension. The extension encrypts the saved values with AES-GCM. The encryption key is created and kept in the same browser profile as a non-exportable key; the extension does not send the key elsewhere. The extension starts with empty fields and does not obtain credentials from another source.
On the EduLink One login page, the extension checks the login form and fills in the saved details. It submits them to EduLink One through the site's HTTPS connection so that EduLink One can sign you in. This is the only site the extension accesses. EduLink One receives the login information you ask the extension to submit and handles it under its own privacy practices.
How information is used and shared
The extension uses the saved School ID, username, and password only to perform the sign-in described above. The extension does not send this information to the developer or to an analytics, advertising, or other third-party service. It does not include telemetry or make its own network requests. EduLink One receives the details when they are submitted in the login form, as described above.
The extension does not sell login information or use it for advertising. The developer does not receive or review it.
Retention and deletion
Saved details remain in the browser profile until you choose Clear in the extension or uninstall the extension. Clearing removes the saved login details. Uninstalling removes the extension and its browser-local data. You can also update the saved details by saving new ones.
Security
Saved details are encrypted at rest with AES-GCM using a non-exportable key held locally by the browser. The extension submits credentials only to the EduLink One HTTPS origin above. Keep your browser profile and device protected; anyone who can use your signed-in browser profile may be able to use your EduLink session or the extension.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The extension handles user data in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It uses saved details only to sign you in to EduLink One at your request.
Changes and contact
If the extension's data practices change, the developer will update this policy and provide a prominent notice in the extension before the changed handling begins.
